What is it?

The Rural Hill Scottish Festival and Loch Norman Highland Games is a family oriented event presented by the Catawba Valley Scottish Society that offers something for everyone.

What is there to do?

  1. Children’s games and activities
  2. Live Scottish and Celtic music with a Saturday night Celtic Jam and Concert
  3. Genealogy Search – Council of Scottish Clans and Associations (COSCA), the Tartan Museum, and Family Tree DNA
  4. Scottish Clans and their representatives
  5. Piping and Drumming with sanctioned competitions and massed band performance
  6. Highland Dancing with sanctioned competitions
  7. Scottish Country Dancing
  8. Harp and Fiddle sanctioned competitions
  9. Heavy Professional and Amateur Athletics

  12. Historical Encampment with Long Bow shooting competition
